    I will certainly take pictures, but so far it's hit and miss. Momma hen is being quite protective and since it has been cold here, she's keeping them under her most of the time.

    About to get rid of my hens if I cant solve this FLY problem

    I have not tried this personally, but I read somewhere that if you put some basil in a mesh pouch and hang it in the areas affected by the flies, it will keep them away. It's supposed to keep most flying insects away. Good luck

    I have a question....I have 4 15wk old cockerels and 2 15wk old pullets. I would like to add more girls to the flock. Do I try to get them close to or the same age as the ones I have....or can I introduce older hens to the gang without having issues?
