    I would leave it open with a fake egg to "train" them. Most birds prefer to perch at night.

    I would offer it now. Chickens instinctively know what they need. Make it available for them in a dry place. In my coop I have like a feeding dish with 2 compartments. It screws into a wall. Keeps it clean as long as its above the breast so nothing gets flung out and no poop accidents in the dish.

    I ad a vet checked for worms. They are free of worms. There are some formed stool with the diarrhea.But the problem has not been fixed. I tried mixing yogurt to the scrambled eggs after it was cooked. Nothing seems to help.

    My BR girls crown used to stay straight up; now it's top over a bit and looks like ribbon candy. She's 8 months old. Does anyone know if it's a problem? Do combs change in them? Babs needs to know cuz the other girls chuckle at her...lol
