I have 6 house dogs and 18 sled dogs. A few weeks ago one of the sled dogs got loose, I was asleep and assumed it was the resident fox out back eating. Whe I FINALLY got up, I found one of the huskies playing with feathery squeeky toys, he had killed 36 5-8 wk old chicks and 6 baby turkeys...

Culled hen, found these inside, WHAT R THEY?????

I found them inside her after culling. She had been ill for a few days, not able to stand, and her toes were curling. I didn't think she was going to get better after 2 days isolated, not eating or drinking.

    Sick chicken

I'd use some preparation H and gently push the protruding parts back inside. Separate her and keep her quiet until she's better. Others may start picking and once theydo..... they won't stop till they kill her. Good Luck!

This is a blue slate then a little more than a year old. Her eyes have been looking really swollen and rhuemy. I've given her Tylan IM and vit b. I've also rubbed her head with VetRX, that's what has caused the little black spots, it's dirt adhering to the oil. Her lungs sound clear, and she...

    sick chicken heavy breathing help

I had a redcap hen doing something like that. I ended up culling her and when I autopsied her I found her crop was rock hard and small. It was full of thread like pieces of grass. I couldn't feel the crop before she was dead. I'd thought maybe she was egg-bound, so .???????????????

Unable to get through membrane when hatching

I've been hatching turkey eggs all summer. The majority of hatches start off pretty good, poults breaking the shell even all the way around, however, the membrane stays intact. I've had to get it off the poults, or they die, getting shrink wrapped. When I crack the turkey eggs to eat, I also...
