They are great layers :) good mums and you can get great sized table birds out of them also. The commercial Lorp is not so big. Below is a pics of our lorps. The commercial strain and Show line.

Thanks thy are rather fat :) they love it now they get to free range during the day in part of the yard I fenced of just for them. Our LS hate chicks so have to be kept away from them.
These are my new Coronation Sussex, we have (we hope) a future breeding pair. The roo will also have 2 Buff pullets and 2 Australorp Pullets to play with :)

Thank you Nicalandia, so 2nd gen we would/might get the lavender colouring. Might just try and find a lavender orp and a black orp. but not been able to find one any where in Australia yet
