    There are still foxes out. I went out yesterday afternoon and found footprints on the top of my coop. My neighbor tells me that their was one up there yesterday morning.

    Foxes are out for chickens right now. I let my 8 week old chicks out yesterday afternoon while I was doing yard work, I went in to get my clippers and in less than 2 minutes a fox had hurt one and kill another chick.

    Two week old Barred Rock trying to fly out of brooder

    That is what I am thinking, it is just that that will take up alot of space. They are in large box in my bathtub. I raised the waterer and then put something on top so there is no space for them to jump today and that seems to work for now.

    My problem with that is they are tipping the water over and getting everything wet.

    I Love 'Em, but... How Was Your Chicken Day?

    My Chicken day started with one of the 3 week old chicks jumping out of the brooder and peeping it's head off. What a way to wake up. I had the jury rig a top so the rest could not do the same thing.

    I had one jump over the box and end up stuck between the box and the side of the tub. It was quite loud till I picked it up.
