    So I just had 2 new chicks and the hen left just before another one hatched. She won't take care of the new chick. She pecks at it when I try and add it to the other two. What do I need to do? Will it eat on its own?

    what time of day do your chickens lay eggs

    I have 18 hens about 17 weeks. Got my first egg the other day. Only one laying. 1 per day for 5 days now. I read someplace that they lay every 26 hours and this seems true for me. Can't wait for more eggs. I check 5 times a day.

    It is a sex link they told me they were gold/red sex link. I also got 4 Rhode island and 4 white leg horns. A total of 18. Whats the chances I have a rooster? that is what I am wondering? Thanks all.

    I have notice a few of them have been diging holes and laying in them. I thought this was cause of the heat. Been above 100 here lately.
