    My welsummer always seems to have poop hanging off her butt..I wash her as often as I can. No signs of anything wrong around her vent. Poop is even solid when its hanging there, nothing really loose that i can see. Anything i can do to help her? My BO who has a much fluffier butt is always...

    It's my understanding that chicken wire keeps chickens from getting out but stronger predators can rip right through it and raccoons have no issue reaching in and beheading them ;( hardware cloth is much stronger

    She has the tiniest of limps..no pecking, no lifting up. I grabbed her tonight and looked underneath..looks like the dreaded bumblefoot ;( I have no experience with it..doing some reading now

    If you enjoy the visitors coming on to your property I would put a lock on the first point of entry and put a sign up saying that if anyone wishes to visit the chickens and feed them please feel free to knock on the door! That way you are 1. Teaching boundaries and respect for others property...

    My welsummer has a slightly swollen right foot. From what I can see no scab underneath and scales look ok? Eating and acting ok..any thoughts??

    Despite the noise she has been pretty easy to grab off the roost or off the nest. She growls but no biting or kicking thank god
