In Feb of 2009, when my DH was unemployed/underemployed, we decided to turn the cable off. It was just too expensive. Luckily DH finally found a great job this past Feb - but I just haven't felt the need to turn the cable back on.
We have some rabbit ears and can get the PBS Kids channel for my...
And finally, a baby picture of my Iowa Blue Large Marge. In this shot she might be about 4 weeks.
She is such a beautiful chicken now, one of my favorites.
Just look at her penciling (not intended as an entry):
Here is my second submission.
Amelia Earhart, my adventure Chicken. An Easter Egger pullett of about 14 weeks.
I don't know why this shot cracks me up, but it does.
It is so hard to pic favorites.
Here is my Blue Laced Red Wyandotte pullet when she was about 8 weeks old. It was when I first discovered that chickens melt in the sun...
At the time of the taking of this picture it was unknown if she was going to be a she - but she has since been named Dr...
We turned off the cable about 1 1/2 years ago. We have select DVDs for my 3 yr old to watch and got an antenna/adapter so that we can get PBS Kids. The TV never leaves that station and is only turned on for about 1 hour an evening.
The DVDs run a good bit during the day but it is mostly...
Just in case no silkie lovers chime in - the only things I know about silkies:

I have seen the aforementioned kitty litter boxes as well as milk crates filled with straw and 5...

My Bama Orps are about 5 or 6 wks old. I will get some pictures of them. Maybe we can compare. These are from yesterday. It is so muddy and wet out. I can't let them outside. Not good pictures, but here they are ...
I finally decided to name mine when I was confident they were girls and therefore staying:
Large Marge: Iowa Blue
Dr. Beverly Crusher: BLRWyandotte
Bathsheba: Barred Rock
Elvira: Barred Rock
Constance: Buff Cochin
Temperance: Buff Cochin
Amelia Earhart: Easter Egger
Admiral Grace Hopper: Easter...
I went to a Chicken Swap today to get rid of my final roo and managed to find him a home! Woo Hoo. But since it was a swap it isn't like I could come home empty handed!
These little ones are 4 weeks old. They were a bit traumatized by the trip so I couldn't get any really good pictures.
These...
