There's one Jersey Giant, one Barred Rock, two Dominiques, and one Buff Orpington. These chicks and the four I hatched two weeks ago are to replace the eight I lost to a fox. Let's hope they're good layers!

Cool! I love candling! I hope they're mostly fertile - fingers crosseeeed for tomorrow ..... !!!
I'm great; just got five chicks and two guinea keets in the mail today. One of the keets is such a whiner! It has all it could want and it's eating, drinking, and has a nice warm brooder, but it will not stop cheeping! Ughhhh ... but anyways the rest are all doing great and are adorable, of course! Oh, and one chick has curled toes and has to have bandaid shoes.
Soooo how are you? Is it hot where you are?!
