    What Are Squirrels Like?

We have a red colored one called "fox squirrels" and the little grey squirrels. I grew up in rural eastern Okla.where they are plentyful and were a great small game to hunt. I have spent many a morning watching the sun rise in the squirrel woods. They are very tasty when cooked. Young ones can...

CP is a nice kid,I like hi,hope I can help him learn more about the birds. We need more young people taking up the hobby, its one of the better ones for them and usually last a lifetime. Rare marked birds?

Thats one reason I like my rollers. They are a mixed colored group. I strive for almonds so get odd marked birds regularly. Nothing to brag about but it makes it interesting anyway. They most unusal ones I have seen are the mosaics. A friend had a roller mosaic and it was awesome...

    First flight

Quote: I'm jealous, I only have a two week period that I can fly mine in!Usually its in august or sept. Rest of the year the coopers are fulltime residents. Makes it hard to sell your birds as great flyers when you can't fly them!lolThank goodness I like to watch them in their loft and large...

    Ever heard of this?

Quote: People can't vomit it out either. My wife is a nurse and they had a homeless man come into er who ate a bunch of uncooked rice. They almost lost him. Had him stopped up all the way thru!

    Drought effects in Texas

I saw them talking about the drought on the news. and some of my Okie friends were talking about the sale barns being full. Thats terrible. I just can't even imagine how desperate those farmers must be feeling. No cattle means a lot won't be able to hold onto their land and things just spiral...

    Avalanch Trucks?

Anyone own an Avalanch? If so my advise is sell it or give it away quickly! They are money eaters when it comes to repairs. My tail gate handle broke,I have the part which is around $70 but the problem is you basically have to rebuild the tail gate to get it on! Now my transmission has gone out...

Take obese children from parent's custody?

I think it would be a great ideal for hugely obese children but human nature being what it is,it would be difficult to set guide lines on which ones were called obese. Some fool would want to take a bigboned large size kid who really isn't obese for their build. But if they could hold it to...

Any one else like guniea pigs?

Yes I am aware of the pelvic problem,I only breed females that are young enough or older females if I know they have had babys before. I have had three sows have babys since I started this post. Two had two each and the third had three this morning but one died at birth. I was really worried...
