    I'm not sure if this is in the right section or not so if not I'm sorry.I am wondering if it is possible to tell if a hen will lay a green egg or not,before they lay.If a chick comes out of a green egg and turns out to be a hen will it lay green eggs or is it not for sure? I have 2 lavender...

    Thanks for the reply!! I am going to the feed store tomorrow so I will get some food specially for ducks or gamebird food. I have a nice size plastic tub with fresh water for them to play in I will also try to give them less scraps so I can make sure they get more of the food.

    Well they are both making almost peeps still, but they sound like a classic "quack". Although the darker one sounds like it has a little deeper "quack"......I'm thinking they make be a little too young yet. Thanks for the reply!!

    I love my ducky!I can't wait until I can get more(I will be keeping an eye out at the feed store for more unfortunate ducks in that tiny cage!)As for a name I think I am leaning towards Bowe...KInd of sounds like it could be a girl OR boy name.

    I THINK it is a turkey...There isn't a comb and it has a fuzzy head....Is there anyway to tell how old she/he is? She does have a slight whistle too.
