    flighty chicks

    I incubated and hatched 5 silver laced wyandotte's they are now just over 3 weeks old. They are so flighty and nervous, they hide and panic when i go near the brooder or change water and add food. Any advise please, will they settle soon???

    Just taken in a beautiful stray poland or polish black, but how do i tell if its a boy or girl. ?? it looks fully grown.I know nothing about it age, breed or gender. any advice thanks

    Hi, they are in a small chicken coop that is suitable for 3-4 full grown chicken, at the moment i have taken perches out. these 2 sleep together in a nesting boxes within the hut, then there is an outside run. temp varies from 14 to 4c.     Hi. I have 2 chicks outside 10 weeks old and 3 chicks 4 weeks old that are out growing there brooder can i put them together? and how do i do this?     chick not growing???

    Hi Thanks for the replies and advise, the little one seems perfectly fine and healthy, they are still in brooder, the light is on at night and off during day, so the little chick lays under other 2 for warmth, but id walking about and eating ok.. Fingers crossed it will be ok.

    They are all still in together, it seems healthy, eating and drinking. It is now keeping warm under the other chicks, which don,t seem to mind.

    Hi, I Hatched 3 chicks in my incubater for the first time, they are now 5 weeks old, 2 are fine but 1 hasn't grown it is almost the same size as when it was born and still fluffy, any advise please, will it be ok? cheers Sam

    Hi I am new to the forum today, if 8 hybrid hens in the garden, that i bought POL, last year. Just got myself an incubator, I have 6 bantam eggs in variuos breeds. They are day 14 now, i have just candled them and looking at your photo,s 5 out of the 6 are developing ok. So fingers crossed...
