    Chicken henpecked and not walking

I swear by Verericyn. Start by cleaning the wound with https://vetericyn.com/product/vetericyn-plus-poultry-care/?attribute_size=8oz or https://vetericyn.com/product/vetericyn-plus-all-animal-wound-and-skin-care/?attribute_size=3oz (I think the only difference is pH, but the "All animal wound...

    Help - injured silkie

Just an FYI that may or may not apply to your silkie throughout hee life. Silkies are very sensitive to stress. They can develop anxiety disorders and autoimmune issues because of trauma. I found this out the heartbreaking way with one of my silkies. She's actually experiencing a flare of immune...

    3 week old getting pecked

You could try having a barrier between the flock and recovering chick so they can get used to each other again and not see each other as a threat. We create a little broader and attach it to the big broader with netting between. After a day or two the reintroductions go smoothly 90% of the time...

    PLEASE Help Injured ducks!

I swear by Vetercin, both the spray to clean out the wound and the hydrogel. It is a miracle! Spray the hydrogel on 3-4 times a day to protect the wound and help in heal. Poor babies, sorry about this.

    My first broody girl

One of our Cochin hens can hold an egg under her wing so tightly that she moves it from one nesting box to another. Maybe yours can too 😉

My chick was born very weak…how can I help it

They need to have their body temperature warm in order to have interest in eating and drinking. They need to be hydrated in order to have interest in eating. 1st warm 2nd hydrated 3rd eating Just to make sure, how warm are her feet? If they aren't doing as well as a healthy sibling they can be...

Soft shell egg and lethargic behaviour?

I'd see if it's something you'd feel comfortable doing. Hydration is often all it takes. It's a serious tool, but if you don't feel comfortable I wouldn't try. As for how do you know if they are going to die? I've never had a chicken drop dead on me. I've had several seem like they were on...

Snohomish, WA looking for a barnevelder rooster

I will have a Barnevelder rooster soon. They are hatching as we speak and where I live we can't have roos. I'm in northwest Oregon. If you aren't in a hurry....

    Heartland Hatchery Silkies

At least they appear to have 5 toes. I have had a few take a few days to darken, but they didn't seem that light.... They're cuties!!!

Hen looks egg bound but I don't think she is.

Poor baby! Poke around a little for soft shelled eggs and see if you notice anything that you can tweak in her care. She seems to being fighting for life, so I'd give her a chance. I have a hen that lays soft shells and after 18 months she has tough days but is very happy and enjoys herself the...

Soft shell egg and lethargic behaviour?

I know you have a smaller flock, so this may not be possible....is there another chicken with calm energy that can be a buddy for an hour here and there? Otherwise, try... If Maggie gets cold feet that won't warm up easily, you could pop her in a pet crate with a heating pad on low. With my...
