    MY CHICKENS ARE GOING CRAZY!!

Peanut butter bird seed balls. Purina flock block, dog cong full of cabbage, bird suet. Anything that they can peck at that gives them something to do but lets face it for a chicken winter is really boring.

    If rooster doesn't dust bathe....

For the most part roosters do not dust bath. You have to do it to them. Every once an a while they will do it but if mine have mites I have to do it myself. Its just how it is from my experience. Stupid roosters.

predator getting my chickens through 2x4 wire. no sign of entry???? what do you think it is

Racoons are smart as hell. Set some have a heart traps with marshmallows or tuna fish, capture them and kill them. The trap will prove an easier meal than your chickens, they will get trapped then you MUST KILL THEM. If you live in a city and cannot shoot them them fill a rubber made tote with...

    White Leghorn roo or hen??

Those are Hens for sure. All my leg horns have those big floppy combs and the slender bodies. The roosters stand very tall and would have large wattles by now. You will be getting eggs any day now.

    Hen is perpetually broody

Wow lots of discussion about Brodie's. I personally love broody chickens. Its a free easy way to expand or renew your flock. It also helps fill your freezer with unneeded roosters. I wish i had broodys that would go broody twice a year. I think you have a great chicken. Give her some eggs and...

    first eggs question

I would say for sure they found a different place to lay. but keeping them cooped up a couple days could slow there laying also. Remember with new egg layers there is a lot of irregularity. Be patient and keep and eye on them.

    Fake eggs and golf balls

I always leave golf balls in the boxes. It helps with new chickens and when you have to move things around a bit. They also help with tricking broody hens into starting to sit. plus golf balls are cheaper than fake eggs.

    new to chickens

If i were you i would de-worm and follow the instructions of the post above. Taking in some else's brids is a tricky subject. What ever problems they had you now have. If they are all older birds they will not be great layers any more. I don't know why you are getting into chickens but i am sure...
