it's hard to tell who is laying and who's not in my flock. it's a free range deal here. the hen house is closed at night, but they go in and out as they please during the day. i work second shift,so i'm only here in the morning.

my beautiful speckled sussex roo is loosing the feathers on his neck. he has quit crowing. is still eating and drinking,and seems to have lots of engery.......

i only have one silkie, a roo. he runs the yard with the rest of my mixed flock. my big roo , a speckled sussex runs from him. he has no game and can't dance well enough for my gals. he goes in the hen house at night with the rest of the flock.
just did my first bumble foot surgery. don't know how well i did. i managed to get the scab off and squeeze out bunch of gunk, but i don;t know if i got it all. i'm still shaking! my poor hen!
