    Thanks, @RavynFallen . I wound up having my girl euthanized today. She stopped eating, drinking and pooping yesterday, and was a bag of bones. She was miserable and there was clearly no coming back from it, whatever the cause. Naturally, the vet who sees chickens was not in again today (!)...
