I believe this to be the true recessive cream gene. It segregates as a perfect recessive...
All of my birds are pedigreed both male and female side. I think my problem is that I only started with 5 males and ~7 females and that was 6 years ago and who knows how inbreed they already were.

I kind of thought that gravity feed might be the easiest way to do it.
I'm not sure where to get used nipples. There is not many broiler operations up here.
I have been looking into constructing a nipple water system for my birds for many years. I have many roosters (60+) for use in my breeding program and it is physically impossible to maintain them all without keeping them in cages ( at least if I don't want them to tear each other to shreds)...

You have an egyptian fayoumi hen for sure. I raise a few of them myself. The chicks always have that characteristic red head. I wouldn't worry to much about the shrieking. That's just how they are. Very fun and self sufficient breed though.
