    Yes, we keep the food inside the coop so the birds can have at it when ever they want. The water is kept outside up until last week we had water inside but i have seen the chicks come out and drink from the water outside so that,s why we stopped putting it inside.

    I have 13 chickens about 4 to 5 months old I'm almost out of the feeder food and was going to switch to layer feed when this was done. I let them free range and they get some scraps should I be going thru a 50 lb bag in little over a month? There is very little waste on the ground.
