    I have a creek that i can get crayfish from on our property , should chickens eat the crayfish as snacks if they are small enough for them to peck at, has anyone else fed any treats that are fun to watchthe chickens eat? have any mixes to feed them, like seeds, corn, berries anything else?

    just wait and check on them when they are squaking and ready to be laying eggs tomorrow around 10 o clock a.m., you may find which ones lay and then put a rubber band on the foot of the ones you witness laying and you will then figure it out. do this for several days and you should notice...

    i got a day old jersey giant -supposed to be- rooster in the mail 8 months ago and he is actually a little over 8 months old now, ---- but he has no wattles, hardly and he looks more like the jesrey giant hen than a rooster. i have read that they don't mature until 12 - 15 months or so but...

    should the summer waterer be different than the winter waterer? weather is humid and waterer is in an area in the coop where it gets moldy due to humidity.

    I have 1 rooster for 5 hens, but the saddles could work because I don't have 12 - 15 hens.

    Any suggestions? can't keep the chicken saddles to stay on hens backs for long, they fall off ..........should i criss cross the elastic across the chest area of teh hen to help hold the saddle on her back .........they have red naked backs and i want to prevent more rooster damage...
