Hi, I realize this is an old posting...but I'm in the market for two 5-8 week old Chocolate, Lemon or Lavender Orpington Pullets. I'm in the Los Angeles area so they would have to be shipped. Our local wild Peafowl are on their way to adulthood...hopefully now you'll have a little more time...

Any way to know if the Chocolate Orpington Bantams are Pullets? If they are, consider them sold!

Four was probably just perfect with one heat pack. When mine arrived, they seemed a little spacey. I mixed 50/50 plain Pedialyte and water...they picked up right away. I guess you never really know. Good luck with the new babies. They grow up so fast!

Could be a red, blue laced Wyandotte. I purchased one at 24 hours old with that color pattern. Looks similar to a Buff Orpington chick but has a little grey/blue area on the back towards the butt. Mine is light like yours. They told me it's most likely a girl! Good luck...

I love my Brinsea warmer. The chickens let you know when it's time to adjust up or down depending on how far they sleep from the unit. No thermometers. No hanging bulbs or difficulty hanging cords. Easy to clean. A little pricey...but for me, the ease and lack of worry were worth the money.
