    Ok..so as the winter gets closer...I am trying to figure out the best way to keep my girls warm in my coop. My coop (houses 2 girls at the moment) and is about 3.5Wdx3.5Lx4H..     So, I am looking forward to the gathering, and possibly picking up a hen or to. I am sort looking for random breeds. Anybody going with buttercups, silkies, houdons, or polish? I want to get another girl or two, and I'm not super choosey, but those are my big interests!

    K...so I kinda feel funny asking this...

    So after my little girl was attacked and killed by a skunk, I set up a temporary pen in my garage for my hens babs and mac until I made alterations to the one out back to skunk proof it. I went out to get eggs and feed them today, Ginger, my ever friendly ans curious aracuna had "flown the coop"...

    I wen tout this morning to feed my girls and noticed olny two were running around.. Went I went in to the pen, I saw it, a skunk was in the corner with my wifes little Polish Babs, it had killed her. I was so broken. I grabbed my other girls and penned them in the garage (they are still there)...
