ooooo how exciting! Yes I do, sod times it can be so annoying because it will make all of the other chickens go off too. My leghorn Snowie was mated with today by one of my roosters, that tells me I might get an egg in the next day or two!

I need to clean my duck coop soon. Yay.

Hm. Well, I suppose that's fairly easy, as long as your coops aren't too big. I'm kinda lazy, but really, the worst part about cleaning is the smell!

Aww, cute names. My leghorns name is Snowie. I named her after one of my other leghorns that died do to an unknown cause. it's always exciting to get a first egg from a first time layer, isn't it? we just got some of our chicks back that we gave to our friends because they couldn't have that many. Always happy to get just one more hen, not about a rooster. ;p I'll be gone all day tomorrow to visit family. how are you doing?

So I did end up getting on after all today. Not sure if that's good or not lol!
Less than a half hour? You must be quick with the shovel - or whatever you use to clean the coops with! I always take forever ....... probably because I'm always in a bad mood when I do it. (Ughh not again! Why are they so dirty?! Whine, whine, whine ....) :/ I clean my chicken coop twice a year and the duck coop once a week. The duck coop is always f-i-l-t-h-y, so I'm going to build another coop soon for the ducks so it won't get dirty so quickly.
What kind of nestboxes do you use? You just reminded me; I need to get boxes for my ducks soon! Have your chickens (the little ones) started laying yet?
I do that sometimes with the messages, too! Most of the time my problem is I've just turned off the computer and then I remember. Oops!

The chicks and keets are from Ideal Poultry. It had the lowest minimum order (except Meyer, but their shipping was through the roof!)
