Pros: Big, Gorgeous Birds that are Super Friendly!
Cons: Dig and Dust bathe a lot......they love it! But....that is a CHICKEN THING....not just the Brahmas!
I got into Brahmas by accident. I went on vacation last year and left 8 Maraduna Bosque Hen eggs for a friend to hatch for me. When I returned from vacation she told me that I had 4 beautiful little yellow babies to pick up. So, I went to pick them up and she hands me the box with 5 chicks. I look at her like......huh? Five instead of four? She said she had done a hatch of Buff Laced Brahmas at the same time and had 1 hatch out.....so she thought she would be able to tell the difference......LOL.....neither of us could figure out which one was the Brahma.....so she just said Merry Christmas! I brought the chicks home and it didn't take very long before I could tell which one she was (yes it was a hen). So I named her Holly. Holly grew up to be one of the most gorgeous hens I had ever laid my eyes on. So, I called my friend and told her I needed to get a roo and another hen to keep Holly company. That's what started my Brahma addiction and it hasn't let up since. They literally let me pick them up in the middle of the pasture like a puppy dog. They follow me everywhere and they started laying at 6 ,months old. Nice big eggs! They are named Buddy, Holly and Ginger. And, yes I've been back for more since then! Several colors going on now....LOL

Pros: Worms almost anything! Really Works!
Cons: Have to calculate your dosage for different weights
This is the best wormer there is! It takes care of all worms out there! Normally, you have to get several wormers to take care of all the different types of worms. We do rescue for dogs and have quite a few at a time. We have 9 right now! But, when we were taking the dogs to the vet...it was costing us an arm and a leg, so the vet told us to go to the feed supply store and buy a bottle of this. He helped us calculate the dosages for our dogs and we've been using it ever since. It has saved a ton of money being able to worm all the dogs ourselves!

Pros: Easy to set up, chicks love it!
Cons: Wish it were cheaper
This is some fantastic stuff! The great thing is...you just set it up and let the chicks devour it! You don't loose any feed. They can't waste any...so you really come out ahead. It's packed with all kinds of vitamins and minerals and good stuff, so the chicks just love it! My chicks also didn't get bored or pick on each other, because they were so busy pecking at the baby cake. I highly recommend it!

Orpington

Pros: Super docile, great egg layers and fantastic colors!
Cons: NONE
I absolutely think they are the top of the line chicken! I have owned several different breeds over the years, such as Rhode Island Reds, Barred Rocks, Welsummers, Wyondotte, etc. But, I have to honestly say that the Orpington are the sweetest of them all! Other breeds can be very tempermental and the roosters can fly up and spur you.......NOT the Orpingtons. They don't fly over fences either! That way you don't get into trouble with your neighbors! And to top it all off......they come in so MANY GORGEOUS COLORS! They lay eggs all year long too! Wouldn't have any other kind.
