Pros: Small, friendly, smart, cute, and curious
Cons: Can be skittish
We have 2 Easter Eggers who are rather small for 21 weeks old, but perhaps that makes them more cute and lovable. One has always been skittish despite handling since she was tiny, but they all have their own little personalities! They have the cutest beards and are pretty curious and quiet little birds. They'd make a great addition to any backyard flock.

Pros: Smart, goofy, friendly, and curious
Cons: A little flighty
We have 2 Plymouth Rocks. They can be a little flighty and independent, but they'll still come when called, and they're quite amusing with all their little antics! They are also very pretty and sweet. I'd recommend them as a hardy backyard chicken breed to any chicken owner.

Pros: Curious, friendly, docile, sweet, intelligent
We have 3 Buff Orpingtons. As everyone else says, they are like the Golden Retrievers of the chicken world. They are very lovable little chickens and don't oblige too much to being held! They are great for those who want to train their chickens also, I've taught my 21 week Orp pullet to ring a bell, come when called, fluff up when you call her a pretty bird (Well, she kind of taught herself that one) and she just learned to walk on a harness and leash. I'd definitely recommend them for any flock!
