My husband brought home a hen tonight.she's limping and it looks green. What can I do for her? Is it gangrene? I don't want to infect my others with something either. please help. There's no smell. And she was able to jump up to the roost.
Was fine at first is about 4 or so weeks old now. couple days ago acted tired, like it couldnt stand or walk around. Other chicks its age were walking all over her. I see her eat and drink. What could be wrong?
I found a blue bulb (looks like a red heat lamp) in with my grandpas things. Im just curious as to what it would be for? Is it safe for chicken coops?
I googled it I guess its called a "blue flood lamp"
She just texted me and said help me, my turkey is too fat and now she can't walk. her legs are straight behind her back. There is no vet in her area that will help a turkey.... HELP she loves this turkey its her pet.
My little pullet just passed and Im looking for another. My husband got her at the local farm store and I thought she was so ugly but she turned out to be my favorite. Let me know, Im willing to drive a little ways. Im in NE Indiana
i think they are just a day old. no feathers on feet. yellow beak, feet and fuzz. I was guessing leghorn, or rock since the egg was white. I hope its not meat birds
I received 6 yellow chicks today from my friends preschool class. she doesnt know what they are. she thinks they were white eggs. they are standed size and Im pretty sure they will be all white. So tell me what breeds can they possibly be?
...is my Snowy Mallards.
Floyd and Fiona
I've had them for about 3 years now.
I think I was as proud and the parents.
They hatched out 14 ducklings.
************As soon as they start laying I'll be selling eggs. PM me if you'd like to be on a waiting list.************
Thanks for...
i just bought 5 week old splash marans. and thinking of getting some white rock hens. they said 5 each but if they are 2 yrs old is that worth it? i wont eat them but i do want regular eggs.... so give me the 411 please. thanks!
I need some girls I dont really care what age as long as they are clearly pullets or hens that lay often. Also dont care breed, would prefer brown eggs layers. Ill travel a small distance or meet half way. Thanks!
