Hello & Welcome to my page..
My names craig, Im 22 years old and Im from ENGLAND/United Kingdom, Its pretty boring here, the weather is utter shite!
Anyways I keep White Call Ducks, Light Sussex/Black Copper Marans & Warrens and a couple of modern game cockerels.
I also keep jumbo coturnix...
Im planning on buying some bluescales, gambels & californians eggs, will all these hatch out all togther ok and will they be ok kept in the same brooder? or would i have to separate them?
Thanks TGK.
ah right lol no we dont have skunks or racoons. just weasels and stoats/polecats, simler to ferrets, but i dont see them very offern.
do u get many foxes over there?
thanks for the nice comments.
what are coons? lol
i live in england,so we dont really have snakes about or coons. seen the odd mouse, but my chickens will take care of them.
Thanks,
ha awesome. Not many people over here keep quail on wire apart from me and few other breeders I know.
I guess I could do that to get more of a slope, but am not going bother with this pen, I'll just use this one for growers or birds for the pot. lol
TGK
yeah they are nice looking birds and they are clean legged. ive just recently been told they are called red cap quail and from germany and the bloke from germany bought them from another bloke from Bulgaria.. I have to see what there like when hatching.
Thanks, yes same here..
Its a sand pit lol, ive got another one kicking about, but Ive now got a proper plastic pond liner, im gonna sink into the ground for them and its bigger so more room to swim.
Yeah, slopes are better, as you say the eggs rolls down to the front.. and you dont have to muck about opening doors etc, Im gonna build another cage simler to this one and have a slope.
Just recently finished my latest quail breeding pen for jumbo coturnix quail.
ideal for 12-15 birds.
Ive run outta paint, so nearly finished just needs a touch up.
TGK.
Im currently buying eggs to go in my incubator, already purchased some jumbo coturnix eggs, but thought about getting some bobwhite quail eggs as well, will these be okay once hatched? as both types will be in same brooder? or should i put them in seprete brooders? Ive hatched bobs and gambels...
