I was wondering how long will my coturnix quail eggs last if I just leave them in their hutch. I live in florida and my hutch has a closed off section where they lay their eggs all away from the elements.
My chicks are now two weeks old and are kicking almost all of their bedding out of their cage and I was wondering if I could replace the shavings with hay, so it will not go every where and get into their food and water.

he does seem to be better, however i have another question. I have another chick that has dried poo stuck to his behind. not over his vent but none the less stuck to his hair. should i put hi sbehind in warm water to soak it off or how should i clean him up?
