It might be a Pheasant egg. They look similar to the ones we found. If it is a pheasant egg, the mummy pheasant will know someone has touched their egg, and will leave their nest.
Hey there folks!
My chicken, Autumn, might have sour crop. Here is why we think it:
We can hear a gurgling sound when she walks.
Her breath smells 'sour'
When she bends down, even the slightest, he lifts her head back up - we think it is because she wants to keep the thing inside her.

Hi folks!
I am just curious, what are your chicken's life like? Are they pampered? (this is not to shame others, just to know)

Wish you all good health and stay safe!

Lack of activity

Some of them, 2-3 of them...
Today, I got these new chickens, 10 of them, and they were ex-battery hens. Poor little things, they have hardly any feathers. Their nails are long, comb is tall, thin and droopy and pale.i want to know how I can make them feel safer and better. How can I provide them a lovely stay? What shall I...
rosemarythyme thank you so much for your comment! I understand the need for additional security, and have checked out 'your coop'! You are right, it is more likely a better defense having a well built coop instead of elevating your coop. You can use the elevation to ward of rats and snakes...
