I think I see streamers developing on one of them, I couldn’t get a picture of it. I did get a picture of this one though, are we still thinking pullet? It has a straight black comb.
This is all very interesting to me. Lol confusing sometimes, but interesting! Looking forward to hatching some little chickies and recording my outcomes!
He definitely has the three ridges, with the one in the center being higher than the outside ridges. Lol it’s giant though! His comb started developing super early, He was the first one I knew for sure was a rooster. I will definitely post pictures if I decide to hatch chicks.
I’m guessing on the pea comb, it’s big instead of small like other pea combs I’ve seen. has the three rows, so definitely not a straight comb. Here’s a picture.
Thank you!! I had read about the the blue egg gene being close to the peacomb gene. Both of my pullets are straight combed, that’s why I figured they were both probably going to lay brown eggs. 😏 We will see! 😊 I did have an EE lay her first egg today while Inwas waiting on responses. And it’s a...
My “OE” are OExMarans. My hens have straight combs like the Marans, my Rooster has the peacomb. I just wondered if anyone had expierence with how this could turn out.
Question: I’ve got two”olive egger” pullets both have straight combs, and since one is laying brown eggs, I’m assuming the other will too. My Oliver egger rooster, has a pea comb I believe. If I hatch some chicks from these Olive Eggers what are the chances of getting some chicks that will lay...
I’ve just picked up these two on Monday. We are thinking possibly one cockerel and one pullet. Anybody have for sure thoughts? The first picture I believe is a cockerel. The second picture I believe MIGHT be a pullet. Idk
Dang it! 😏 Yes, they were listed as blue/splash/jubilee orpingtons. A lot of the pictures of the hens they came from had a lot more white in them than the ones I’ve seen online. 😏 I had wanted a different breed but they didn’t have any hatch so I got these as replacements. Along with BLR...
Please tell me this is a pullet! I had three one I rehomed (had a really large and red comb at an early age) the second we lost to a hawk and this is what I have left! It’s 13 weeks old. It’s comb just recently started to become redder. It’s fluffy tail feathers are throwing me off!
I have 3 BLRW, one has grown and feathered a lot faster than the other two, but they all three are showing red in their combs already. Is there ANY chance I have have at least on pullet?! There are two pictures of each bird, the third one is the largest of the three.
Edit to add: they are almost...
