When my little ones were big enough, basically outgrowing their diggs, I just placed them in the pen with the other 5. It seemed to work out just fine. I kept an eye on them of course.
I have a hen that sits in the coop all day, then when the other girls lay eggs she immediately sits on them. Even though we remove the eggs as quickly as possible she waits in there until another one comes along. We have dealt with broodiness in the past, but this takes the cake. Ideas?

I dont know what country you are in, but I would recommend that you pick up a feed specifically for chickens. Here in NJ I go to Tractor Supply and pick up an organic variety, that I also mix with cracked corn. My girls are happy and healthy and I get 4 to 6 eggs per day from 6 birds.
