Tiny little egg

    I have seen fellow chicken keepers have this, but this is my first experience with it. A tiny egg. Take a look at the photo. Note: the chicken did not lay the quarter :)

    that's actually a fair size egg, lash eggs tend to not have a yolk at all and are truly tiny.

    from one of my a Marans, compared to a bantam egg.

    We have never seen one that small out of our girls. I'll take your word for it.

    Did your chickens just start laying? I've always referred to the smaller, marble sized eggs as "fart" or "fairy" eggs. :) If only our chickens laid quarters; I suspect that would be an excuse to get more chickens. [​IMG]
