I put 6 roo's into my fridge on wednesday. I read to wait 3 days before putting them in freezer.
I ran out of time and didn't gut them after plucking.
Is it ok to pluck, fridge for 3 days, then gut before freezing?
I read alot on here how "you can't catch a fox in a live trap".
For about 2 weeks something kept taking the bait out of my trap without triggering the switch to make the door shut.
I figured it was a smart coon or a sly fox.
Got 2 frozen chicken wings out of the freezer and tied 25 lb fish...
I have been contemplating something similar.
I don't know about building large coops but I have noticed there is a decent market for chicken tractors.
Sell them a tractor and a couple of layers.
I see some people locally selling for $300 - 500.
Can you describe a little more in detail what you mean by building a box and wiring it to the trigger?
The foot trigger is never tripped and the swing gate is always open so he's stepping over the trigger.
I have been setting a trap RELIGIOUSLY for the last 12 days...
Every morning I wake up to empty cans of catfood, sardines, tuna and 1/2 a bag of marshmellows.

I have dug a...

Wasn't able to stake the trap into the ground last night before setting it.
Woke up this morning and checked... trap was shut, ruts all around the trap and empty can of tuna.
I didn't tie my trap down but I am setting it again tonight and will probably use a piece of rebar that I found in the bed of my truck. It's amazing how quickly junk accumulates back there and I always enjoy the surprises that await me everytime I get around to cleaning it out!

Woke up tuesday morning to the sound of one of my barred rocks head being pulled off.
Bought a live trap at harbor freight on Tuesday.
Woke up this morning with a coon in my trap and an empy can of tuna.
My chicken math started with 3 hens about 2 years ago...
Just hatched out 31 chicks over the weekend...
18 hatched out 4 weeks ago...
and after rescuing a few roosters to put with my hens I'm up to 7 layers (3 BR's 2 RIR's and 2 EE's) and 2 roos (RIR & EE).
I had a RIR Rooster and a Barred Rock rooster in my coop with a couple of Barred Rock hens.
The BR rooster was MEAN as all get outta here... so I only had him for about 1 week.
I hatched out a few eggs and I have what appear to be 4 black chicks with 1 white spot on their head, yellow feet and...
