I did. Going to pick up a couple today that hatched yesterday afternoon. Hopefully it will go well, if not well then we have 3 more ducks and I will have to take her eggs and hope she gets over it. We're going on 2 months now (I think). My other one gave up 2 weeks ago and rejoined the rest. -

Americana chickens stopped laying
They are free range but aren't currently. Our temps have been in the teens and they haven't left the coop for a month. I've been trying to research and it seems they aren't very good layers in the winter but all 3 of mine stopped laying in August. Before the days start getting really short. No not pooing in it. The heater keeps it raised so its not sitting on the coop floor either (I keep the heater under it during the summer just not plugged in). It is made in USA. Its galvanized steel. I did replace it. And the new one has too tight of a seal- I had 1 previous one with a tight seal and one with a really loose seal. So they either leak or I have to go out and wiggle it to get a decent amount of water in the tray. I am going to have to...- jbugw

My chickens would stand on the tubs and tip them over. I didn't think they could until I saw one of them do it in my duck pen. I can't use any kind of heater in my duck pen water because the geese share it and they try to eat or "chew" on everything. I am amazed those things are still alive with...- jbugw

I can't describe the smell, it doesn't really smell like anything I can think of. Its a metal waterer that we are using a heater on right now. It smells without the heater too but not as bad.
