    White mites on chicken's eye

Ahh mites!! I know they sell a powder, and possibly a water additive. If I were you, I would ask your local vet or call a vet. It may be necessary to find out what type of mites they are before you can begin treatment. You may also want to treat your whole coop.

    Shake a leg!

In reply, it's very normal. My roosters do that, and all roosters I've ever seen do that. And Steven Tyler? Niiice! Little chick-an-izer!!

    Good treats for baby chicks?

Isn't it kind of a not good idea to give them eggs? I mean, I REALLY don't want them to start getting a taste for eggs, since they are going to be layers (Buff. Orps.) I think yogurt sounds like a great idea!!! AND, mine usually LOOOOOVE moths!!!! If I put on in their box, they go...

Do chickens go through laying "lulls"?

Hmmmmm... well thanks guys!!!! They don't free range and there is nowhere for them to hide eggs I have just cleaned the coop. It is cooling down a bit here but not much. Another thing I have been suspicious of, is that some of those pesky RIR hens have been eating them. They will simply walk...

Do chickens go through laying "lulls"?

I have about 15 RIRs and plymoth barred rock hens, and for the past few weeks, they have only been laying from like 1 to 4 eggs a day, and I am picking them up on time, and feeding with oyster shell and everything, but they just still won't lay!!! I am getting rather frustrated, as feed costs...
