    I call it the rebellious teenage stage. Mine did the same thing around that age, but they are all friendly now at 14 months old and have been friendly since laying eggs.

    I don't have a picture, but all i used is a 3 shelf bookcase and nailed 2" boards across the front to keep the straw and eggs from falling out. They are community nests, with usually 2 hens laying on one shelf at a time.

    Fox or coon?

    Just saw coon last night--the coons are out of their partial hibernation and looking for food. I think it is too early for their babies to be born, but a coon took one of my chickens last year to feed her babies.
