Hello, I keep my brooder ( a large tub) in my garage also. I keep chicks in it for 6-8 weeks.

Ater they hatche keep them in a brood with her till they grow bigger and she will do it all. Start on chick food and her the same.

Update my BR hen is broody on the 25 and has tens eggs set going to candel them on Monday.

It should just clip the wing so no one flys over the fence. Muscovies love to eat bugs that fly.

If it not molt it can so dontrule it out. But is a lowest at the pecking order?

Some do molt at a young are age I had a BR molt at 11 months. What breed(s) are your hens?

I would do the same my cochin hen was a bully as a chick, But your leghorn are small and should get to grow a little then put togher or slipt the brood in half with hardware cloth so all the chick still see one another after a few take the hardware out.

Same here. During the growing my runner ducks live in the garden to eat the bugs and not the all veggies.(unlike my chickens eating everything in the garden)
