No nothing at all just sneezing.. I must admit I usual clean out the coop once a week but this time I did it after 3 weeks - but kept changing the bedding etc
Thanks for the link!
Hi guys, few weeks back I took my hens to the vets for runny nose and sneezing issues and they were given tylan soluable.. I used it for 4 days ( it was prescribed for 3) and the runny nose stopped immediately and the sneezing was much much less..
However they're are constantly sneezing now -...
Mines started laying at 30 weeks :) so don't worry and they should lay on their first winter so expect an egg soon.. How Long you had them?
Have u put false eggs in the egg boxes?
One hen sleeps on her roost and the other one stands in the corner and sleeps?!! On hay she doesn't sit down on the hay but stands there in the corner and each night I put her on the roost .. Then she stands on the roost and sleeps!!!!
Is this normal .. Sleeping and standing?
Thank you
Haha aww that's made me chuckle - they are definitely underweight as their breastbones are prominent they were a 1.5 underweight than the average layer

Hey, flubenvet is one of the few wormera for poultry in the uk I only dewormed them two weeks ago.. But will start worming them again after next week.. I've just noticed flubenvet covers ever other worm except tapeworm!!!
What can I deworm them with for tapeworm? And when can I do it...
Pardon my ignorance but is free ranging eating grass etc? Then no as there's a lot of soil in my garden and they just eat earth worms from there..
They won't eat grains either :/! Thank you for your response .. Any further thoughts?
Thank you :) it's mainly vegetables!
But Why are they losing weight then? :( their breastbones are sticking out and I feel like crying each time I hold them!
Thank you! But in their droppings I just see small stones :( their crops not that full when they sleep :(.. How long shall I leave only pellets out for?
Hi guys.. I've got two hens they were small and chunky when they first came.. They were eating their pellets and then I started giving them a lot of left overs from the kitchen.. (I'm a newbie - shoot me!)
I noticed 3 weeks back they had worms and a lot of weight loss :( I quickly treated them...
Hi guys
I noticed a huge bulge on my girl.. Her crop has gone hugeee.. It was soo hard I fed her some olive oil mixed with water... She's constantly eating.. However, can she get an impacted crop from seeds stones and a lot of sunflower seeds?!!
I thought hens could only have an impacted crop...
I would use flubenvet, which treats an array of worms... My girls are on their 5th day treatment and they seem cured :D! Their droppings are normal etc and I noticed today BRIGHT red combs :) and I'm a newbie with keeping hens (only got two as pets) & I'm delighted with results
I'm using it on my girls atm and it seems to be working *touch wood* it's a seven day treatment but it seems their cleared.. But I'm gna repeat the process in three weeks to ensure they're full recovered :)
Sound advice :)
They've never been really interested in their pellets but thankfully they've been laying well.. Just waiting for them to stop as winters kicked in.
Most hens like sunflower seeds mine don't touch them :/
I'm scared they're gna die off starvation!
Shall I also clean their...
