@jeria chicken math = When I'm going to buy a small coop and 3 or 4 hens turns into 14 hens, 5 roos, 9 chicks in a brooder, and 14 eggs under 2 broodies with the addition of a 4x12 hoop coop, and 10x8 portion of the shed turned coop with 15x15 run attached.
Since my broody wouldn't take the incubator chicks I brought home I guess I'll let her do the work herself. Have a friend who lost 11 chickens in the flood we just had so I'm helping her up her flock and my brother is wanting some specific offspring and none of those hatched in the incubator...
@1cock2hens it's mainly Facebook posts and messaging. Great for me because I don't particularly like talking on the phone either. :D
The way we caught him was to get it back somewhat in place and opened the doors. He kept trying to run back to it. Got him in and then I was able to cage him...
Glad you all were safe. We had some roof damage and my small home built coop was moved and tweaked. The poor roo inside made it out unscathed somehow and was just wet and scared. Got him caught and contained. Just fixed his coop today. He's still skittish but I don't blame him.

4 little fluffs stuck their heads out when I checked this morning. They aren't even due until tomorrow but with bantam eggs you never know when they'll start. :D Can't wait until she gets up and I can see how many hatched.
