I was first told that this hen was an Easter Egger. She lays light green eggs (not blue as originally thought!). Her ears and lack of beard are throwing me for a loop. Cream Legbar? Hybrid?

What do you think?
I have an EE that is less than 6 months old, not laying yet. We noticed a couple of weeks ago that she has a lump on her back, near her wing. We haven't been able to catch her until today when she was allowing us to pick her up. The picture is what we found on her back. We put her in a cage on...
Good day, fellow chicken enthusiasts!
Every year, I get an ornament that encompasses one cool thing we did for the year...this year, we finally built a coop and bought our first chickens!
Anywho, I am on the search for an ornament that either has a basket of (maybe customizable) chicken...
Hello!
I have 6 girls that share a coop, run, and free range play yard. It seems as though one hen in particular is getting picked on. No one else is missing feathers from their lower back and tail. I cleaned the coop out this morning to find a lot of her feathers in it. We got the girls all...
I would love to hear other input as well. Where are you located in the country? The regimen we do now is pine shavings in the coop and nesting boxes. My husband just spread PDZ all around the coop and inside. It's a constant struggle with flies here in florida.
We have had our coop up and running for about 2-3 months. We live on the eastern coast of Florida where it's hot, humid, and rainy. My coop is in the shade and we allow our hens to free range during the day. We currently just have whatever is left from them digging up the grass around the coop...
I've heard of putting a swing for hens in the run, or in their yard. Who has a chicken swing?!?!? What other cool things to you have to keep your chickens entertained?
I have 6 girls that we let free range during the day. They have a 30x20 area in the yard that we have fenced off for them. It is shaded with a big tree. I'm having issues with flies around my run and coop. We clean the inside of the coop weekly and I rake the sand that they have dug up around...
What are your favorite summer time treat to give your flock? We are in hot, sunny Florida and I love to give my girls leftover (cold) watermelon and strawberries.
Looking for any and all ideas on what I can do with a plastic water softener container. I have two that were given to me. I'm thinking of collecting rain water or even a compost bin.
We live in Florida. We have a nice shade tree that we chose to place the coop under. The egg skeltor we got on Amazon!
Thanks y'all for the kind and encouraging words! We love our girls and are enjoying every minute with them!
My husband and I looked at hundreds of coops and picked out certain details we liked. We ended up with a quick sketch and constructed our coop in less than 2 weeks. We decided to make the entire coop out of cedar. Originally, it was going to house 4 hens, but after construction, we wanted a...
My spoiled chickens did not like the horizontal nipples and we ended up have to change them out for the cups instead. They LOVE them!! We have 2 in the run and 3 outside of the coop.
I asked my husband why he chose that design...he said he didn't even think about it. We may eventually change it to open to the side.
I found the skelter on Amazon! The eggs don't roll easily, but it works with a little help.
4 of the girls are now laying regularly. My shy hen finally came out of the coop and is eating and drinking. I'm waiting for her to start laying. My red star is almost mature enough to start laying. We let them free range during the day and at dusk, they put themselves to bed. Love my girls!
