Ill be sure tobpost pictures later on when older. #4 and #5 are pretty poofy crests more so than the others but like I said only one showing a comb in person has me thrown. Only time will tell. Its just so hard to wait on the first crows and eggs lol
I Have 5 white silkies about 4 months old. Any guesses on sex? I'm hoping for 2 or 3 pullets. #1 has a noticble comb so I figured roo. The others don't. #1 also has very noticble streamers.
I need help!! At first I thought I had 3 roos and 2 pullets but now I just don't know I'm 2nd guessing myself and wondering of 4 pullets and 1 roo. I only see a visible comb on one whichbis why I am 2nd guessing myself. Please help me lol any help is greatly appreciated
Thanks everyone for the replys about mallard eggs. After a few days I have discovered it is in fact a mallard egg! I'm up to 6 now. They are going in the incubator today! And praying for a great hatch! I couldn't be more excited to get little ones from Fred and Ethel lol. Thanks again
Thank you guys. I'm really hoping it's from my mallard. I collected this bone yesterday so maybe I'll have another today. Ill make sure and turn it when I turn my chicken eggs.
Yes definitely mallard. I've been very picky when I picked out my ducks not to get The small call ducks or the bigger rouens. It is the same egg. I misted off the dirt trying to figure out the actual color. Darn I hope that wont affect the hatchibility I'm hoping to incubate it. Will check later...
Thanks a bunch. Mine seems small compared to the pictures I've seen so I'm not sure if it's because it's a first time layer or because it's actually a chicken egg lol.
I know my duck tends to hang out a lot in the area I found it. I guess incubate and only time will tell.
Does anyone have a picture of a mallard duck egg? I find it hard to trust Google images. I got an egg yesterday I hope it's a duck egg. But it could be a chicken egg, but none of my chickens have ever laid an egg that looked like this.
It was also in a spot that my chickens don't normally lay.
Sorry just uploaded the front view. The first time they didn't upload in the correct order so I just edited it for the correct order. So were your guess from the body pictures or of the ones in the last comment.
Needing help determining if I have pullets or cockerels orbisbit too early to tell. I'm really hoping for at least 3 pullets but knowing my luck that won't happen. They are 4 weeks old. Will be 5 weeks on Saturday. Thisbis my first time with Lavender orpingtons so still learning but they're so...
I have a few chickens I hatched out for a friend and we split the hatch she has multiple breeds. Easter eggers, rir, barred rock, buff orpingtons. They are about 20 weeks. I have my guesses on what I think they might be. Want some 2nd opinions.
Thanks in advance.
#1 I would guess roo
#2...
Thanks for the input. Wish I had better pictures but she's quite standoffish so this is the best I could get. I'm really hoping hen because I can't find any nature hens in my area.
