My broody buff is going to be a mommy!!

I moved her today and you might think i was trying to murder her, she went crazy!!! I moved her back to her original spot and she is happy again, so it's up to her to do her thing. I will keep my fingers cross and hope everything goes well.

My broody buff is going to be a mommy!!

The other coop is too small for all of the others. Now i am nervous. She is in the nesting box favored by all of my hens, but they are not bothering her. I don't know what i am going to do.

Am I the one one who finds leghorns to be the most unfriendly?

I have 19 hens which are about 6 different breeds. They are all pretty friendly except for my 3 brown leghorns. They are the most unsocial flighty birds ever. Has anyone else noticed this?? Karen

    Raising just a pair?

I think they will be fine. Although i have quite a few, i tend to buy them in pairs and they stay together as a duo as they grow. I would just make sure that if something unfortunate should happen to one of them to replace it right away to avoid lonliness.
