I know this must have been asked a thousand times, but I have a broody hen that's been hanging out in the coop for about a month now. My wife is sick of being pecked from her when she retrieves the eggs and frankly, I'm sick of her loud, angry attitude as well. If this goes on much longer...
If you got a smoking deal on the coop, just cut windows out of the lower section and wire the open holes! Simple solution! Also, you could still paint the OSB. I made my coop out of OSB and put wood siding on the outside. I painted the outside and inside the same color and it looks great...

The coop is quite easy to clean, however if you are going to build a roosting perch, why not have a box underneath with Sweet PDZ under it for easier clean up? I love the set up and it makes quick work of cleaning up the coop since they don't turd much inside anyway aside from the roosting perch.

I'm at work till 10:30, so the pics will have to wait until later. It's basically a 1x2 mounted on top of a wooding floor (box) with Sweet PDZ in the box that acts like a kitty litter box. It's so simple and works great! I'll post pics tomorrow.
