Arizona Chickens

Quote: I am so very sorry that you lost your talented bird. I was wondering why you didnt keep its wings clipped if you allowed it to free range in your home. Budda is saying more things everyday (stuff He has learned in the past). We we watching tv the other night and he started to COUNT!!! He counted to 9 then stopped. He also speaks in a very low quiet voice and is sometimes hard to hear him. Guess its better than screaming. He does do a siren tho!!! He is a real joy! I hope you can find another affordable grey to adopt. I may know where one is. It is very Man oriented and they are looking for a very special home for it and also someone who the bird will go to without biting!!! I am not sure of the fee for that one tho. It is located in Phoenix.

I hope someone is on to inform me. I have only lived in Az for less then a year and have never seen a while cockatiel, where i am. Are there wild one out here in the pheonix/surprise area? There is a female cockatiel in my coop atm.
Just checking , what was the outcome on the cockatiel? I hope someone adopts her as I am not sure if they would survive here without a constant food and water source. I used to have several cockatiels years ago AND THEY LIVED OUTSIDE IN A LARGE FLIGHT. They did well but we had misters in the summer and enclosed the flight with plastic in winter. We also had some different finch species that were delicate but with doing those things we never lost any to weather.

Just for Giggles I want to share with you guys this phone my mother sent to me via email. Its a redneck chicken tractor made from a trampoline frame lol She was making fun of me because I like to recycle things and I used my old swimming pool frame as a tortoise pen shown below. Oh well what can I say ! Shes right I would totally do this lol

Does anyone know if any of the feed stores in Tucson carry incubators, and if so, how much? The price online at Incubator warehouse is roughly $140 for a hova bator with shipping and all the extra perks.
I was just at O.K. Feeds at Ft. Lowell and Dodge and checked incubators for you. They had a Little Giant incubator for $65 and a Little Giant egg-turner (sold separately) for $60.

Good news on White Tip! After 5 days of penicillin shots (1 shot a day), living in our shower, and being spoiled rotten...she is mending quite nicely! The swelling has gone down a considerable amount! She still favors her leg a little, but NOTHING like she did!! YAY!!!

We got 12 golfball size rain drops a cool light show & a bunch of wind.

Spent the day removing walls.

Anyone that need 2 x 4's to build a coop - hit me up!

This was the last of 3 - 1/2 walls that we took out.

I made some steel brackets to hold up the chase & we sloped the front.
Looking good, Mikey!
