Just to let all of you know, I moved the baby's to the adult bird pen, and then 5 of the remaining six died of unexpectedly, so I ordered some to come in December so I could keep them in the house until the spring and then they will be bigger then these ones were, and I will work on getting a...
Ok so basically I am trying to figure out how to become completely self sufficient, and that would involve not giving layer feed or chick starter, so I was wondering what I can feed my baby chicks to substitute chick starter? And what to feed the older birds to substitute layer feed? A do it...
I got a 9mm,
I do know how to shoot pistols, I have been meaning to get one anyways, I'll be going to the sheriffs office and getting a gun lock, and I'll also keep it in a locked case when I'm not using it!
Ok so I went to get a handgun, it won't be all aproved and what not until Saturday, and I moved the chicks to the coop with the older chickens, so I will try and get some traps to put around here, and for now, thank you for everyone who responded!
I do plan on seeing where to fix where ever their coming in, but I also know that I kinda need a short term answer before I can do that because that takes a lot of time.
I was wondering how to kill a mink, weasel, fox, coon, or possibly the cat that came here recently. Not sure which it is yet, but coons normally take eggs not birds, right? Anyways it has taken half the flock in three days, they are little, like they fully feathered a month ago, and I've tried...
So I have four cats, one stray kitten that's about 4 weeks old, and 3 farm cats I just got, that we're born this spring, the 3 older ones are in a dog carrier in the chick room, and they seem to not care about the chicks, so my question is when should I do the test to see if they can live with...
No! Their doing fine! They are actually doing so fine, that they are visiting the little stray kitten I found! (Their kept together because it will end up going in the barn when it's older) they just got some treats today! None of em hate me either!
Hi, so basically, I read it calms chickens down, and I wanted to see if it was true. And then tonight I just read it's bad for chickens, so will my chicks be okay?
Thanks in Advance!!!
Ok basically they don't eat chick feed, the store said they don't eat the feed they had them on originally, and I tried a different one they didn't eat at all yesterday, so I tried the corn and oats today. And it worked, so I need some help to figure out how to keep them nutritionally balanced...
Ok so I got chicks from the farm store between 2 and 4 weeks old (I didn't ask how old they are so it's a guess), yesterday, and I'm feeding them ground up corn and oats. Firstly, should I give them grit? Also what about mealworms, fruits, veggies, or just some fresh pulled grass, is any of that...
