    for mama hen Don Here got my first Brabanter egg yesterday and it was fertile your blue should start laying any day but I don't think you have had her for 4 weeks yet have you?

    gee momma- hen she was just a groopy in my flock everyone kept everyone in check hope she isn't a problem. Mine are not laying yet but I don't intend on hatching until the spring anyway giving me time to get a new fence area to seperate the brabanters from the rest My small coop should be okay...

    Can someone give me some advice on sour crop?

    This might just be a coincedince but I had some with sour crop and gave them some extra chicken grip hoping it would help it move along and it seemed to work as long as I have enough grit around I have never had it happen again

    Funny you mention Ameraucanas this breeder happens to have Ameraucanas although she swears the cream brabanters were separated for 4 weeks pryer to me getting the hatching eggs. Out of the six I got 1 cream roo and all the rest are hens good for me to try and hatch out some more interesting...

    I hatched out 6 cream brabanters this spring and got a very interesting outcome. 2 cream brabanters 1 silver brabanter and 1 golden brabanter also 1 blue and 1 black I have pictures of some of them to share

    sorry for all the extra posts the second pic is supposed to be a cream brabanter as is the golden one ande the real cream brabanter rooster Got 2 real cream 1 golden and one sivler from the same batch of eggs from the same source and I went to the farm and she only has cream brabanters go figure
