    Yes, my little ducks are adults now, one male and one female. She is a supreme layer and lays an egg a day. Welcome to a BYC! Nice to have fellow so-cal people here.

    Meyer's Hatchery Marans

    Today I picked up my my chicks from Meyers from the post office. I got 3 splash maran and 2 black copper. I ordered several other breeds. One was dead in the box, two look bad, all the other look great.

    My little Delaware "Della" started laying on the first and I was so proud of the small brown egg. My bird has great timing because egg prices are on the rise here in California. The next day my duck laid her first egg and she has given one egg everyday. :)

    Thank you. :) My roos have been nice too, I just don't want them to fight with each other and I want the eggs, not alarm clocks.

    She is a really sweet bird, every time I'm in the yard she follows me around. Very cute.

    Yes, I figured I would get males and females with that order. I placed an order for all females to arrive in March.

    The more I learn, the better. All I hope is my little Delaware is a darn good egg layer. I also will never order straight run unless it is the only option available.

    Wow did not really think about it but I had 4 chicks hatch on Thanksgiving.. two black copper marans and two olive eggers. :)
