Hens go broody when you don’t want them to… and won’t go broody when you do. 
My little Delaware "Della" started laying on the first and I was so proud of the small brown egg. My bird has great timing because egg prices are on the rise here in California. The next day my duck laid her first egg and she has given one egg everyday.
