I have only seen one egg in the past week or two.. The normal is 3 a day.... Today the coop was covered in feathers... Only from one of my three birds. The coop is pretty secure with a strong cage and bird netting...
Water was bone dry due to my friend forgetting about them while I was out of...
I just put new wire around my coop... The wire has holes large enough for house sparrows... They are now stealing food and water... I did not care until I released that the wild birds may carry mites or lice. Should I worry about this?

My hens have destroyed the mulch around my trees by digging and spreading every where. Any tips for a safe way to keep them out? (I have read that cyan pepper keeps cats out)

My coop sits up about 3 foot. My run extends from that another 4 foot... How steep is too steep for a ladder to get to the run? Its not done yet... But I need to make a way for them to get to the run... (which will be caged with chicken wire)

The biggest bird I have is a Buff Orpington. (They are chicks right now) (I also have sextons and Rhode Island reds.
Right now they have a door leaving the coop that measures 7x7 inches... Is this too small? (Not finished yet... )
