With breeding season almost here. I started this thread, for what has worked best for me ,also many of the big peafowl breeders.
I all way fed a premixed feed 18% to 20% you can feed a bal. pellet or crumb....keep in mind each pellet has all the peafowl needs'

Just like to point out to newbe to peafowl.....peafowl split to another color or pattern are not "MUTT" those would be the spaldings in peafowl(don't breed true).....birds split to other colors or pattern are worth more really.

Really not upset.....really kind of Funny.
I was at the Ohio National Poultry Show.
I was going back inside , a couple had some golden comet pullets about 5 months old, 5 of them so i made a deal to buy them, then they gave Me 4 older ones and a nice dog cage they were in. Place the pullets...
1. India Blue X India Blue = India Blue.
2. India Blue X Black Shoulder = all India Blue chicks split Black Shoulder.
3. India Blue split Black Shoulder X India Blue split Black Shoulder = 25% Black Shoulder, 50% India Blue split Black Shoulder and 25% India Blue.

Now i have made a big mistake , only someone new to peafowl should make.
Keep in mind other than feeding and worming my birds, i have not spend much time with them this year.......
