I am starting my 2nd hatch I just hatched 4 baby chicks for the first time ever and hoping to have the same if not better results for this round! Last round I had 5 out of 9 that were good but one out of the 5 suffocated before it could get out of shell! Anyone is welcome to join me in my 2nd...
I came home from dinner at the inlaws and went to check on my chicks and i noticed one wobbling around! It doesn't seem to be in excrutiating pain..it keeps sleeping, pecking, and eating..I took it out to look at it and it will still stick it's leg out and its toes still stretch it just wont put...
I've heard my chickadee peeping since 4:15pm and it is now 11:38pm... i hear him peeping loudly and he's rocking about alot but still no signs of external piping. i don't want him to suffer or die... how long before i try to help?? how long from internal piping til external piping??
this is my first time hatching chickadees.... my babies aren't due till tomorrow but i have seen shaking since yesterday evening and still no signs of external piping...is this normal? or should i be seeing something by now? what do i do?
